This year the majority of votes cast were for Children’s Charities. It is safe to say that the 4 charities we have chosen, conduct outstanding work in this field; each charity shares the same core values to not only help children living with serious illnesses and life-limiting diseases but to also act as a great support system to their families.
A total donation of €10,000 was made to:
Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation provides nursing care and support for children with severe neurological development issues, as well as offering some respite to the parents and families affected by their loved one’s conditions.
Barrettstown’s mission is to rebuild lives of children affected by serious illness and their families. They provide a break from hospitals, white coats and medical treatment. They believe that every child with a serious illness should get to enjoy their childhood – all within the beautiful and magical setting of Barrettstown Castle.
Laura Lynn provide palliative care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Their holistic approach to care enables them to support the whole family, allowing parents to be ‘Mum and Dad’ rather than full-time carers.
Temple Street Foundation raises money to enable the Temple Street Children’s University Hospital to provide world class care and to pioneer new treatments and cures for childhood illnesses. As they see 145,000 patients through their doors each year, they need as much help as they can get to give hope to their young patients and their families.
Capuchin Day Care Centre, Soar, Down Syndrome Ireland, Focus Ireland, Crumlin Children’s Hospital, Friend of Belarus, Central Remedial Clinic, St. Francis Hospice Dublin, Brain Tumor Charity Ireland.
We are extremely thankful to be able to help these fantastic charities continue their outstanding work and we hope our donations have made even a small difference in these wide scale issues.
